A new exhibition is coming up at Jalla Jalla. This time, Petra Hrovatin from Metelkova 👏
Program:
🖼 8pm Exhibition opening
🎛️ 8.30pm onwards DJ Sprandi
👕 9pm Live screen printing
The exhibition is a retrospective and remake of socially critical posters and magazine covers from 2009 – 2024.
It questions the fight against discrimination in the last two decades and considers how social relations are changing when violence has crossed all boundaries and is increasingly tolerated.
The opening poster “When will you run out of glue?” is the main thread and also an interactive poster that will encourage visitors to get involved during the opening of the exhibition. The other posters are remakes of magazine covers that deal with various topics of social fringes and their resistance movements. There will also be two film posters at the exhibition.
The author of the exhibition is Petra Hrovatin aka Periklea, who has been involved in print design since her student years in landscape architecture. She mainly works with videos for performances and visuals for musical events, and is also a musician, poet, and filmmaker.
